24 hours
An individual having the ability to choose thoughts and attentions is normally ahead of the crowd. Simultaneously, such individuals raise their awareness, and nothing in life remains the same for them. Many people just live in the past and count their mistakes. There is no need to be hard on our mistakes. In fact, it happens as an opportunity to correct ourselves.
The event that harms many people proves beneficial for some dedicated individuals. Life is to ensure that we live one day at a time. It is also essential that a day be as productive as possible.
Every day is full of obligations, like domestic affairs, attending office or business activities, social issues, health, and many others. Some people are careful, and many are careless, in handling all these obligations. It is true that a day is not enough to reach the goal. But it works like a brick in the wall in constructing our destination.
Now let us concentrate to understand the significance of 24 hours, or 14,400 minutes, in our lives. We may call someone and confirm a news story in one minute. We may express gratitude in one minute. We may get many concepts clarified in one hour. We may intensively practise some new learning in one hour.
Habits are great time savers. Our routines are largely tied to our habits. People with large time-consuming routines like bathing, getting dressed, and eating consume hours and hours in the competition of these routines. Here there is clear wastage of time. Likewise, people who do not do productive work in a day are not aware of their priorities. They add nothing to knowledge or do not dispose of important pending work, which was possible that day.
When we talk of consistency, all days are equally productive. In the case of not maintaining a schedule of work, it hampers consistency, ultimately creating hurdles for completing assignments.
On the scale of moving towards a goal, all days may not be uniform. But the point is to come back to normal quickly after the distractions or entertaining special occasions.
Make some days in a month memorable by beginning something new in our daily activities. In the majority of cases, we take a lot of time to begin.
Once we reach one milestone, we have to begin planning for the next milestone, keeping the big picture of life in mind. No complacency under the guise of rest.
Dreaming in the early phases of life, that is, in our 20s or 30s, is more powerful than dreaming in our 60s or 70s. These dreams come true only when we make the most of our days since adolescence.
Wandering of mind is a norm. How to minimise wandering is in our hands when we learn how to concentrate on our meaningful activities. We talk on our phones for lengthy periods, check emails frequently, and listen to breaking news often, keeping important work aside. Create our own strategies to increase concentration on work of immense importance.
When we focus on the "purpose" of our engagements, either for a short or long period, we refrain from wasting our time on trivial issues.
Note that we have a finite amount of time to be discovered individually. Thus, wasting time on senseless activities is a sin. Lean to live fully, taking these days as a grace and opportunity to give more to this world.
