A life with fewer regrets and no qualms
Regrets and qualms are part of living. At all stages of life, they occur. They can’t be fully ignored. Good things happen in life only when we learn to live with minimal regrets and maximum accomplishments. And when we take bold steps to defeat qualms
Change of career paths, not migrating to large cities, declining promotions, not keeping balance between needs of family and pressure of business or office work, and similar immature decisions may be sources of regret once we look back at our past. Such thinking mostly adds to our worries and rarely gives us the strengths to compensate for the losses and do our best in whatever domain we are in.
We had no big dream at the right time because of our background, our own assessment of incompetence, traditional approaches, and so on. Our reluctance to aim high is the main factor keeping us below par. Such realisations come when there are no solutions.
Two factors play a dominant role in deciding our courses of action.
1 voice of the outside world by way of suggestions, herd mindsets, and past records. Outside voices are seldom error-free.
2. Our internal dialogues are usually not as strong as they could be.
When there is no clear vision, our internal conversations are also clueless about our eagerness to do more than our peers.
Thus, all possibilities exist for being lower in ranking socially, economically, or educationally. Ultimately, we create chances of having regrets sooner or later.
Regrets are like barren lands without grass and trees. Coming out of regrets happens only when better stories are in place. It is time to reinvent ourselves. Staying with regrets is a stupid habit.
Some common issues associated with regrets are:
when we are not in the know about the real picture. We are not identifying some happenings as opportunities to rise. We heavily rely on others without exerting ourselves to finish our own tasks. Our decision-making capacity is poor. We act without adequate recognition of the pros and cons of the work to be done. Above all, we are excessively concerned about our images in public.
