Be an example, not only an opinion-maker.

Find something that is invisible to others.

Floods of messages from one device to another of powerful sayings on social skills, in particular from renowned personalities, are a highly visible practice in the present day to impress others. It serves to make people aware but repeatedly misses the core target of changing mindsets. The reason is that the whole process is not deep-rooted and is mostly emotional.
As said by Willa Cather, some things are best learned in the calm and some in the storm. When both calm and storm are missing, learning is at its lowest. The globalisation of learning through scrolling is an issue but unrelated to this topic, so it is kept aside.
It is proven that there is no true learning without a fair analysis of any episode, event, or happening. There is no short cut to adding understanding and wisdom in any area.
The human mind is always generalising information in order to make some sense, but in the absence of reflection, matters are not likely to be transferred into lifelong learning.
To be exemplary in at least one trait like keeping promises, integrity, self-discipline, determination, transparency, confidence, and making decisions is possible once we decide to explore our own uniqueness. However, it requires constant self-affirmation, so we prefer other easy routes and follow the flow of time and people.
It is our mindset that decides the course of action, moment by moment. Mindsets are aggregates of beliefs. When we check our beliefs with the facts, we come closer to reality, and good traits start taking space in our behaviours and endeavours.
Take the common talk about "unity," for example. Unity is integral to achieving any mission. But we find that two individuals, even in a smaller group, differ on many counts. Then where does unity exist? Unity exists in oneness of purpose, not otherwise. If dwellers are keen to keep the locality clean, the purpose is specific. This oneness of purpose is called unity. Other factors are peripheral. There is less crap and more impact when cleanliness is in focus. People stand united because they all dislike dirty and bad smells.
All individuals are in the webs of family, relations, culture, occupation, and background, but the power of self-affirmation makes them distinguished even in complex conditions. Some keep values at the top, and others keep discipline at the core.
Weak people stop their activities while facing criticism. People who use criticism as fuel to go far ahead win the race. It is self-affirmation.
Most people are opinion seekers, and therefore, the makers of opinions get a chance to sell their views. Then self-affirmation has no place to emerge.
Self-affirmation is the act of feeling adequate. It comes through rewiring our brain. If someone says, "I can solve the issue," it is an affirmation. Another person feels content with what he or she does; it is affirmation. Affirmation breeds solutions and positivity. Affirmation is nurtured. When problems are handled properly, affirmation grows.
We store huge databases in our minds. This is the basis for how we behave. When we take a shower, our skin senses it first and sends signals to our mind. The mind interprets this action based on the database. This is the process of signalling our feelings. We see or hear a variety of things every day. It creates perspectives, many of which are untrue. Perspective is sometimes a hindrance to allowing affirmation to enter controversies and confusions. Then chaos persists.
Most people are prompt to convey their thinking but low on leaning. In such a group, there is a lack of solution-minded individuals. Many people are not aware of their advantages. They are problem-centric and rarely think of themselves as authentic.
We have witnessed people always talk about patience, sacrifice, charity, and so on, but they are reluctant to practice them. Then how can examples be made?
 In short
==========
The world is changing by citing the examples of a few extraordinary people, not by masses of opinion makers. The world is full of individuals who promote lofty discussions but have nothing concrete to create. The mind can be adjusted like a mirror to view the world better. We can be exemplary, at least in our few standings. Let us perfect the means; the end will take care of itself, says Vivekanand.
