Braving uncertainty to navigate the unknown
Uncertainty is the norm of life. Life is full of zigzags. It is naive to imagine that everything onward is in linear positions. The question before all of us is how to move forward in spite of uncertainty.
The techniques for coping with uncertainty vary from situation to situation and person to person. Our brain is wired to fear when outcomes are not certain. We don’t know the length of the darkness before us. Standing still is also not the right option.
At the start of a career as an artist, entrepreneur, professional, researcher, chef, or driver, we don’t know exactly what’s going to happen. Still, we pursue them. At times, careers are not as we envisaged them—sometimes better, but many times disappointing. This shows the dimensions of the "unknown."
We know that avoiding risk is more frustrating than taking it. Know also that the area of uncertainty is much larger than merely the elements of risk. It is also true that nobody is aware of their potential.
We eat something different from our routines. We don’t know our stomachs' response after that. Some amounts of uncertainty exist. Uneasiness in digestion happens. We exclude it from our next meal, though the causal factor may be water or anything else. It is a layman’s example of complexity in our living parameters.
In a larger form, the impact of uncertainty is damaging the dreams deeply. On the other side, the journey through uncertainties may fully transform our lives. All big achievers are clear examples before us as transformers of human lives.
Our brains are fundamentally wired in such a way that we are tough enough to face even grave uncertainties in life and make our lives exceed expectations on any scale. This is the inner strength of individuals who add more and more wonders in all dimensions from era to era. We sum it up in one word: "progress."
