Choose priorities wisely, as life happens fast.
We have our own priorities regarding asset creation, professions, responsibility, ethics, family, friends, charity, sacrifice, patience, superiority, and many other functions. We deal with people, circumstances, and setbacks while keeping priorities in mind. It is our minds that decide whether we are inferior or superior, while in real-life situations, this may be quite untrue.
We have a finite amount of time to fulfil our infinite aspirations. Wrong priorities can’t help anyone construct good fortune. Temporary gains or losses are meaningless when eyes are on long-term outcomes. The impact of our priorities is seen in a decade or beyond, and then we come to know whether what we did was nice or indecent.
Surprisingly, we are not independent in deciding our priorities. Unhealthy competition, jealousy, adverse comments, impatience, a craze for fame, and such negative things are usually the foundation of our priorities. We all know that unsound theories can never give sound results.
When we are crazy for delicious foods, we forget the significance of nutrients in our bodily functioning. We prefer taste over health. We prefer restaurants to dining with family. In this way, we waste not only our health but also our valuable time and earnings.
Make a list of what we do every day and see what our priorities are. The good news is that we can modify our priorities. When we realise we are going to faraway places to earn money, our priority will be to save money. When we know the core of any social function, we will focus on achieving its purpose instead of overloading it with decorations and excessive logistics.
Getting rid of the wrong priorities in our 20s and 30s pays dividends for the rest of our lives. When we examine our priorities while keeping free from biases, prejudices, and high egos, it is not difficult to choose the right activities. So, before entering into the real-life phases of our lives, we must correct our priorities as early as possible.
We should learn more from the mistakes of others, as this mechanism helps us a lot to save ourselves from falling into the wrong traps. When we are getting stiff warnings about the hazards of senseless scrolling on screens, we must apply them to our own cases. The same is true for smokers or those with other harmful habits.
Just get some information about high achievers in our localities, and we will find that they used time, energy, and resources to achieve their goals. Such people kept away from as many distractions as possible. They had genuine friendship, bypassed frequently social garltherings, kept free from floating misinformation, and were laser-focused on the tasks at hand.
Priority is what is most important to us. If wealth is important, we will do everything to be wealthy, in ascending order. If reading is not our priority, it means we don’t know how reading raises our awareness. And we don’t know that awareness is an essential input to ensuring prosperity.
When we take life as a gift, we make use of all the moments. We remain task-oriented, not empty-claim-oriented, and priorities become ingrained in our daily lives. In one line, choose priorities wisely to be the best version among thousands of aspirants in the same field at the same time.
