Curiosity expands awareness.
On the path of self-discovery, awareness matters deeply. Awareness can lead to a better quality of life, both individually and collectively. We are living using perception as a tool and not extending awareness to the totality of patterns of knowledge. We know the sky is blue. It is our perception. In reality, the sky is colourless. It is our awareness. The outer world is preventing us from moving forward. It is our perception. We are not exerting ourselves sufficiently. We are unaware of it. It is a lack of awareness.
Awareness is a mechanism to tell us about the gap between what we know today and the realities of things around us. There are many drives going on across the world to bridge this gap on both essential and emergent counts throughout the year. For example, World Environment Day is celebrated to make people aware of the relationship between human lives and their surroundings. This process goes from top to bottom. Knowledgeable people have come to know the details of things because of their curiosity.
Let us explain curiosity. Our brain is curious enough to inquire into the matter, but most of us keep it in passive mode. Curious people are interested in knowing the roots of anything affecting us directly or indirectly. More failures make them more energetic. They derive the meaning of life from their own contribution, which may be the most significant or the least significant. Curiosity matters more than our intelligence and experiences. Curiosity asks people to work beyond their perception.
Well, it is not possible to be fully aware of everything affecting our living conditions. If someone is an academic, he may be less aware of health issues. But what is hygiene? All of us must be aware of it.
Curiosity happens normally at the individual level, as the records depict. Here, a person goes vertical to learn in depth. Then he becomes a source to spread his findings and make the public aware of the realities of the matter. Thus, curiosity and awareness are two sides of the same coin.
The opposite of awareness is ignorance. Ignorance is the main reason for our poor understanding, diseases, conflicts, and many other social issues. People, over a period of time, develop a pattern and get themselves accommodated in their own nests. Then they are not inclined to learn more. They accept nothing more than what has been taught to them until their 20s. Nevertheless, awareness events are intended to raise their awareness level, at least to a desirable extent.
Awareness can be a rough sketch of issues and remedies to minimise the suffering of the people, which are manageable without too much load on the systems.
The meaning of awareness is not limited to our peaceful survival. It also covers the paths and dimensions of possibilities. Progress is not possible until we learn to march towards unknown territories. Many things in this cosmos are yet to be explored. Just see the revolution in information technology of the past two or three decades. It explains the power of investigation and searching. We are not only witnessing but also applying to meet our new range of necessities.
An inside spark keeps individuals wanting to know more and more. Ignite that spark to know the unknown.
