Devotion makes a person specific. Otherwise not.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
In a family, members think differently even though they live together. In a class, students perform from excellent to bad in the same environment. All kids evolve in a particular way, though values and guidance are uniform. Even twins are not identical. No more examples, and now come to uniqueness, which is a reserved niche for all individuals.
All are born to be specific and to live separate from others in many ways. That is why life is called a special gift of nature. But this gift is wrapped in layers and layers. Once this gift is opened, everything looks different, and the person gets a glimpse of the purpose of life. The majority of people never bother to accept the challenges of opening gifts and fail to know their role in their life on earth.
I have seen people do everything to take care of their children. When they are grown up or settled, they feel the purpose of life has been accomplished. In fact, it is not a full story, and what is done is a small part of a whole life.
We limit ourselves and choose to live in limited surroundings. The demands of life remain unexplored. We have compacted the meaning of life into some routines and a few tasks. It is like a high-quality gift given to someone whose receiver does not know how to use it. Eventually, life goes on without specific gain. Uniqueness remains an illusion.
"One person can make a difference. Each person is a revolution ". Bryant McGill
Then, what is to be done? It is not too complex to understand. All we have to do is be curious. We have to be productive every day. We have to gear ourselves up for an optimum level of devotion.
Devotion is a powerful tool to search for where our uniqueness lies. Devotion is much more than a passion. Someone is a professional by passion. But it is not enough until he gets committed to excelling in his or her profession. It comes with devotion.
I think this quote is highly relevant in this context.
"We can choose to be affected by the world, or we can choose to affect the world" . Heidi Wills
There is no waste of time, even for a day. The mind’s eyes remain on the task or chain of tasks. Minimum distractions. Not seeking the approval of others. Focus on processes. Seeing what is not seen by others, and all these parameters, constitute devotion.
When there is no self-analysis, there is no understanding. Where there is no understanding, there is no devotion. In my own cases, I infer that devotion makes the tasks fulfilled despite the odds, and a lack of devotion has pushed me into the shadows at crucial stages.
In devotion, there is no calculation of loss or gain, not for any particular class of beneficiaries; the final picture has yet to emerge, and fears are not allowed to barricade the path of moving forward.
Devotion paves the way in such a way that there are many wonders and a minimum of worrying. In this series of actions, uniqueness gets the opportunity to emerge and grow.
It is not about how much education, wealth, fame, or connections any individual has. It is about making use of what we already have.
In the process of monitoring ourselves, we never hesitate to go against the pattern of our own beliefs. Our special qualities are likely to be uncovered, creating new paths to be witnessed even by those who are against all our steps.
At times, there is no second chance. It is thus necessary to take up the matter now. Otherwise never.
 ===========================
If we do not know what devotion is, we are not interested in using our own strengths. We just survive and are not willing to thrive. Our uniqueness is simply an unopened gift. Take the blame on ourselves, as life is unfulfilled.
Devote, not only desire.
