Education is not enough to meet all situations.
We pick up a variety of knowledge in schools and colleges during our formative stages. This education creates a background for knowing what is what and who is who. Apart from the skills of reading and writing, we learn certain principles, fundamentals, and methods. We come to know the difference between good and bad to some extent. We read history, geography, biology, trigonometry, and other subjects. We also get a lot of information from parents, teachers, peers, classmates, and others. All these things accelerate the process of our learning at later stages of life. Be sure; it is definitely
insufficient to deal with the situations we face as parents, professionals, businessmen, social workers, or those in other responsible positions. Many issues we come across are not on the syllabus of universities. We are required to understand the egos, emotions, and expectations of numerous individuals who are totally different from one another. In some related matters, we use the knowledge gathered from voluminous books. We keep many quotes in our memories just to pass on to others at suitable occasions and deny applying them to our own cases. We make our conversation forceful, referring to the "sayings" of great personalities, but rarely think to use them when situations arise. It seems that those "adages" are for others and not for us. We all talk about literacy, skill formation, discipline, and self-worth, but all these characteristics have no meaning when we are reluctant to make use of them. People are evolving without formal education because they have learned how to live consciously. They learn from their surroundings. So, the habit of continuous learning is a more powerful tool for living a meaningful life.
