Figure out what matters the most.
We are normally not ahead of schedule and find many important things are yet to be attended. It happens when we are not aware of our priorities. This is the single factor that draws a line between high- and low-performing individuals.
If our preference is to be athletes, more hours are to be spared practising this consistently and keeping physically fit every day. Simultaneously, we have to check for unfruitful activities and keep away from distractions.
Deciding priorities is a great art. Making a distinction between most important and least important is not a matter of intelligence but a habit of identifying and attending to important works on a daily basis. When an important task is not completed on time, it becomes urgent and, in extreme cases, a setback in many ways.
Some tasks, like learning new skills and languages or shifting from one place to another for better opportunities, do not seem important because they do not affect our daily lives. When we realise the significance of higher paradigms, we arrange to be upgraded at the next available time. or opting for online courses, or through some other route.
Some people are habitually late in taking decisions and therefore keep important work aside. They cite the paucity of time as a major constraint. Practically, they don’t know how to attend to one task at a time without mixing many things together and finally creating an altogether messy picture.
In this fast-moving time, we have to develop an aptitude for taking quick decisions and executing tasks swiftly, with maximum clarity in our approaches. Remember, decisions determine our destiny more than other factors.
