Gratitude opens the gate to plenty.
Gratitude is a well-known word but one that is selectively practised.
"Thank you," we commonly hear, but most of the time it is not more than a custom or pattern.
It is our consciousness that makes us feel the need to express gratitude, though we think it is normal like air, water, weather, roads, food, stability, peace, and many more.
To be okay is easy to imagine but full of uncertainties moment by moment. Once we allow uncertainty to reign, darkness spreads all around us. We feel pain and hopelessness.
As a matter of fact, we are grateful to all cadres of people, places, operating systems, resources, guidance, discipline, and all creatures in our surroundings.
Gratitude is a choice. It is a divine emotion. It is nurtured by expressing it again and again. It increases our love for all living and non-living things around us. In effect, they come closer, and everything and all events become a source of joy and happiness.
Do something for someone who may be known or unknown every day and reap the benefits of happiness and the flow of gratitude between giver and receiver. Both giver and receiver are on equal footing because things rotate like a big play wheel coming up and down, symbolising that nothing is static.
As the amount of gratitude increases, the realisation of suffering decreases. Thus, gratitude is the best antidote to scarcity and deficiencies. Once we unhook ourselves from the downside of life, we get a clear path to blossom.
