Hard times do not necessitate a hard response.
We go through many ups and downs as we grow. It is natural. We face many unforeseen circumstances and suffer unbearable losses. Despite sincere efforts, we fail in our mission. People make comments in place of cooperation. In all these adverse situations, the majority succumb to the happenings, and only some people master courage to overcome the dark days.
Once we lose hope, our lives are cut in half in the sense that we bodily survive with shame, guilt, a feeling of worthlessness, and other negative signs. We accept it as fate and believe that we do not deserve more.
It is an old saying that anything happens for a reason. People on slippery ground find no sense in it. The attributes having a positive influence, like patience, resilience, and courage, become passive when things go wrong one after another.
People normally avoid seeing the sufferings of others in their surroundings, which are far deeper and wider. Many people realise that their own loss is the heaviest simply because they are not living with empathy.
Empathy makes us ready to face an untoward situation, as we know many people are already going through hard times without their own faults. Empathy becomes a tool when we ourselves face the worst in life.
There are no theories for all the real problems we face on a daily basis. Once we believe in one narrative that problems come with solutions, we divert all our wisdom to find the way out in the given scenarios. Time heals the wounds. After this, we must act in a planned way.
Once we say that there is no hope of goodness in the future, it is a hard response. When we stop making fresh attempts, it is a hard response. Hope is the fuel of happy living, and to keep our lives moving, our minds must not be empty of hope.
Patience is a panacea in all sorts of bad times. People come out of trouble if they continue working on other strategies or if they need to change lines of activity. A farmer never lose hope when standing crops are washed away in floods. He sows the seeds of other crops when normalcy arrives.
Simply put, hard times demand a soft response, not harsh reactions. This is the special quality of the human race. When hard times occur, it seems everything is lost. In reality, many options are still available, but it is our task to bring them to the forefront. It may be time-consuming, but conditions take a good turn,as the records suggest.
Prudence demands that we concentrate on what we have to rebuild and make good on what has been lost without discerning how wrongs have occurred. All things are not in our command. Despite full alertness, mishaps are there. We should not be negligent. Even if we are negligent, it should not recur.
If we are academically strong, we may rebuild our career in this field or a connected field. This is an example. We must say good-bye to our sorrows without allowing them to stay long in our minds.
Normally, people who have suffered in the past are bolder and more effective than people who have had smooth sailing in their prime time of responsibilities.
