Knowing oneself is missed by many.

Whether we are professionals, social activists, entrepreneurs, researchers, or something else, we are active in going onward and making our endeavours socially, financially, and personally as fulfilling as possible. We get degrees, generate income, create wealth, and raise status, and in this process, most parts of life are exhausted. This is the pattern; many of us remain stuck and live exactly as many are passing their days.
As we move forward, we find more worldly affairs to be accomplished. We have a routine full of activities and a wide range of obligations. We are more concerned about pleasing others and falling into trends. We get our kids settled and feel better than others. Material gains are our prime motto.
We have no time to create something, innovate new ways of doing things, enter unknown fields, and push our latent capabilities.
There is no time to reflect on what we do or what we have yet to accomplish. There is no curiosity to expand on our strengths and potential. The actual picture is like a machine that is running at less power than it is made to function.
Without reflection, a life is half or even less lived. This narrative seems a bit strange, but it is true for many of us.
We need to reflect, irrespective of the nature of the occupation. Reflection may be applied whether it is in the 20s, 50s, or 80s. It is the only path to exploring our uniqueness. We talk a lot about uniqueness but do nothing to unveil it. Our uniqueness explains our individuality. Individuality makes us different from crowds. Otherwise, life remains just like millions of people around.
Reflection is a mechanism that leads us to decide the purpose of living on this planet in the 21st century.
Knowing oneself is not tough, provided we spare some moments to look inward. It happens while walking, sitting in isolation for some minutes, travelling, at home, on a picnic, gathering at any place, or just before sleeping.
We don’t realize the significance of knowing ourselves; we just draw boundaries and love to be within limits for our whole lives. Remember, it is never a living for which we are here. Nature is ready to push us beyond boundaries, but the condition is to decide to go up and up. It is to believe that limitations are our creations that can be expanded to any extent.
Looking inward is an exercise that makes us evolve and touch a new high again and again. It is light to show how impossible is possible. The world is evolving on this theory. Someone born centuries ago is quoted by all because of their outstanding performance, not based on creed or tribe.
Be an outstanding figure in whatever field you are in. Be curious to know a little more than others, and uniqueness is most likely to appear. It is not necessary to be a genius. Curiosity is sufficient to make us unique. Curiosity is built upon many whys, and we have to stay on whys until we can get to know the unknown.
Every day is important, and every hour is crucial to living a fulfilling life, whether in youth, adulthood, or old age.
Let the complaints of life be suppressed so we can bloom ourselves where we can. Complaints take our precious time, which can be made productive. Resist temptations of any sort, and count the blessings we all have in abundance.
Start looking inward and see how we transform. Looking inward is a major task assigned to us by nature, but we ignore it to accumulate more comfort and seek high appreciation.
