Knowledge is incomplete until put into practice.
There is nothing new in this statement. Agree. But look at this narrative from a larger perspective.
Yes, acquiring knowledge is half the battle. There may be rote learning, learning by hearing, learning to crack exams, learning for the sake of being appreciated by others, and other well-designed purposes. In real-life situations, our behaviour is quite disappointing. We apply our own formulas to any matter influencing our business, profession, parenting, or earning in any form. This gap matters.
As usual, people are sending high-profile quotes to show their depth of knowledge. Sharing good information is praiseworthy. But, it is also essential to see what we have done when confronted with similar issues in our family, society, organizations, or larger groups.
Ask ourselves what happened to the tonnes of knowledge exchanged in schools, colleges, conferences, top-grade preaching moments, or other occasions.
Say we have to tell a fact before small group. But we are hesitant to tell them because they will be annoyed. We are not telling our position in an organisation because it will reveal our low position. What is this? Where have all the lessons of truthfulness evaporated in trivial matters?
The content of all topics in all subjects is foundational. It is a learning stage. When we enter performance stages in different capacities, we use our knowledge when and where it is applicable. It is the purpose of devoting precious time and energy to learning all sorts of theories and lessons. When we prefer to bypass them in our own situations, the purpose of learning is obviously defeated.
The remedy is to accept what is real and face the consequences, even if they are disturbing. In the majority of instances, the consequences are not as grave as we initially imagine. Here, courage works. It is one example. Be hardworking. Against this, we are in search of short cuts. Examples are endless. We need to examine our own lifestyles and make them match the golden information we have gathered so far.
