Living with minimal regrets
Once achievements are counted, lots of people come to know their regrets, which far exceed their good deeds. There are numerous reasons for such mismatches. Some of them may be briefed as follows:
1. Expectations are too high or not well defined. 2. Areas of interest are limited.
3. No sincere efforts to complete the targets
4. There is no ultimate contribution to group activities.
5. not daring to dive into unknown territories
6. Losing the opportunities again and again
7. More concern to please the people rather than giving them some surprises
8. More influenced by the voices of the outside world.
9. Not exploring strengths to create new norms.
10. Not in the company of deserving people.
Regrets retard our further betterment. Remedies are in minimising regrets and maximising our efforts to do as we intend to do. Regardless of age, gender, or culture, we can excel in any field.
Analysis suggests that we have preferred to serve our dependents more than our responsibilities from a larger perspective.
We have focused more on influencing people than spreading our impacts across a wide landscape.
Be clear that our priorities determine the paths we take forward. When priorities are wrong, regrets are bound to occur.
Unhealthy competition also causes regrets. When we compete to be the best version, one after another, the chances of regret decrease.
At times, outsiders induce regrets just to frustrate us. Let such feelings be ignored instantly.
The past is a bundle of shortcomings. Probing into past incidents serves no concrete purpose. It is enough to ensure that such mistakes are not repeated.
A person is not fully aware of his own calibre. He limits himself to a particular level. In fact, it is his decision. The moment such individuals learn to accept the challenges, keeping the fear of failure aside, amazing things happen.
Let us vow to lead a life with greater gains and fewer regrets.
