Making unfit items fit and adding fresh value.
××++××++××++××++××++
We use many things but don’t know how to reuse them. Things are put to waste when they are usable in other ways. We are attracted by new arrivals in the market, not based on need but on having what is new. We obey the lines of market forces just to be recognized by our fellows by carrying costly and modern items.
These aspects need reexamination. Natural resources are available to meet our needs, not to serve our greed and craziness. There are numerous units between the production of materials and their consumption, whatever we use in our living conditions. Throwing something out of use to grab something new creates pressure on the whole system. We ignore everything because of our power to expend.
On special occasions, food items are allowed to go into the drainage system as if they were useless. We all know beggars are on the next street to fill up their stomachs. We have no time to connect excess and shortage. We are discarding clothes without bothering to shift to tailoring units to make them reusable for people in need of them.
We run the vehicles more than necessary, just to add to air pollution. With some attention, we can save fuel in addition to keeping the surroundings good for breathing.
People are using many discarded utensils, ropes, and pots in the gardens. Some families are making feed for pet birds out of discarded kitchen items. These are plus points.
Technology has made us fast at changing the necessities for safety, survival, and comfort. At the same time, it is our responsibility to keep things balanced and prevent absurdity from occurring in any way.
Nature is balancing things in all respects. We have to strengthen the systems. We have to learn how to minimize waste and recycle items to make them worthy in other situations.
We get the opportunity to rebuild something out of discarded items. This is creativity. Every day, we get opportunities to re-adjust and redesign things in a better way. We add value to things by applying a little prudence and solving many issues at once.
Let us be creative and not consume things senselessly. Creativity is possible, whatever we do.
