Prove we care and share, rather than that we are well off.
We do everything to impress others on all occasions. We show all our physical possessions just to convey that we have the means to be extravagent. Of course we impress others immensely, but within a few days, matter loses its significance.
People praise arrangement and management, dishes, and decoration, but it is short-lived. It is simply a game of money, eagerness for fame, and showing what we have accumulated so far.
On the other hand, many stories of influential individuals or groups suggest that they did everything possible to make a long-lasting impact instead of a temporary one. In the context of being influential in the truest sense, the following points deserve consideration:
1. Maximum attention should be given to education for males and females, individually and as a family as a whole, for affordable individuals as well as people at the bottom. Education is the most powerful tool to provide a sound footing for society.
2. Education must not be abandoned at the school level. Pursuing higher education makes the purpose of education more transparent.
3. Specialisation in some areas by some talented individuals needs to be the norm.
4. Let all members of a family or those close to us keep pace with growing technology. Technology-savvy people are today far ahead of the traditional public.
5. Skill formation is to be taken as a hobby since adolescence.
6. Pay more attention to creating something in place of accumulating things unabated.
7. Some of us may opt for research and unearthing hidden treasures of nature on land, at sea, and in space.
8. Attempts should be made to delete myths, misconceptions, and baseless narratives. These malaises are widespread.
9. People should dare to accept the faults and mend the ways without wasting time in arguments.
Apart from the above measures, we must take action to trickle down the benefits to the deprived classes:
First, knowledge and experiences retained alone lose their purpose until they are shared with others.
Second, when we are blessed with huge resources, it is our duty to use a fraction of those resources to meet the basic necessities of others.
Third, imbalances in social layouts create lots of fractions and chaos. All steps need to be taken to minimise the gaps between the rich and the poor in terms of health and education, too.
Fourth, the herd mindset destroys all opportunities for growth and prosperity. People should be allowed to think as they prefer, and they should be guided only on broader terms.
Fifth, the craze for learning, including reading and writing, is diminishing. It needs to be revived where such deficiencies exist.
The culture of "caring and sharing" has more powerful forward impacts. Surely, it is also in agreement with our purpose in life.
Awake and be inspired to do noble deeds.
