Someone who decides to think
[][][][][][[][][][][][][][]
We become how we think. It is difficult to believe, but anyone can check its reality. We all talk about the power of thoughts in all walks of life, but we bother with many things besides the quality of our thinking. We labor hard to keep our dimensions of thought intact. The primary reason is that we have been programmed (mostly unknowingly) during formative stages, and it continues as the foundation of our range of thinking for the rest of life.
There is no difference in thinking for many people from youthfulness to adulthood.
There are thousands of thoughts in a day. Minds need input, irrespective of being decent or indecent, real or cooked. Many thoughts come and go, but some of them persist as they directly impact life.
When there is fear, the mind rotates this episode again and again. If something odd has happened, changing the direction of thinking becomes challenging.
There are many ways of thinking. Traditional thinking needs no expansion. The point is that there are no new patterns of thinking that are crucial in our daily lives. We learn to live with our emotional state of being, and it continues.
To be specific, in this article, some aspects of critical thinking are discussed in contrast to emotional thinking.
When I am in a state of emotional thinking, I suffer in more cases. In a lesser number of cases, I gain. When I am in critical thinking, there is no denying the change in my thought processes. It is useful. As stories repeat every day, we narrate summary positions about thinking to push ourselves to the next level of thinking.
I have personally assessed my mix of thoughts since I grew into responsible phases in order to say goodbye to useless ones. The process is never in vain.
Emotional thinking is highly conspicuous in humans. In every moment, we are in fear, doubt, or loss of something, mingled with good news like the success of a project or a good job for someone dependent. Practically, we are overwhelmed by work pressure, and in between, we get a little relief when something is done.
Emotional thinking is most likely to drag us into the negative zone of our activities. Through regular practices, some positive changes are almost certain. Over years of practice, people have molded their inner selves.
Critical thinking occurs only when someone is deeply diving into the issue and decides to know the roots of the matter. It is uncommon in the sense that the masses are not critical thinkers.
Critical thinking makes a huge difference in our lives. In the absence of critical thinking, most of the time, the majority of us are ordinary thinkers, keeping ourselves clueless. As a result, they go unnoticed.
Critical thinking cannot be applied to everything, but in a few areas of high significance, critical thinking may reward anyone beyond their own drawn lines. It is the real thing.
Once we decide to think, it is not emotional but rather deep down. It is critical thinking. It shapes our lives.
When wrongs happen frequently, we feel victimized by the circumstances and refuse to move ahead. There is urgency to ascertain the roots of mishaps and miscalculations. It is the right time to think critically.
Let us intensify our critical ways of looking into the matter.
