We go through our own priorities, and life happens from moment to moment.
We have given priorities to some kinds of learning, concentrated on them, and finally created an identity. We have been shaped as of today in accordance with our priorities. There are no outside forces and no elements of favor by and large in this making of ourselves.
These choices are made under the guise of curiosity. We keep the necessities of life off the list of our curiosities. Here we provide sufficient space for our inner power to get themselves revealed.
To remain idle and not pursue anything of substance, even in our 20s and beyond, is also a choice. To hate something intensely is also self-made. Procrastination happens as we shift our priorities from the essential to avoidable formalities. It is our decision.
There are occasions when priorities are on the same scale. Here, our wisdom comes to our rescue, and experience tells us what to do first.
When we are clear about our priorities, we ignore comparisons and learn how to depend less on others. Achievers know their priorities well. They review their own progress consistently. They deal with roughness quickly and with emotions appropriately. They are not wasting time on gossiping and sitting without engagements.
Many people look at everything as difficult and unattainable. They remain in this rut for a long time. Practically, it is their priority to be onlookers and dare nothing.
Once a stranger enters the home of Mr. A, he finds an adjacent room full of books. Without asking anything, he comes to know the priorities of Mr. A. He or family members are avid readers.
Priorities are not written in stone. We have framed them. They can be altered. The moment we realize our priorities are dragging us in the wrong direction, we set new priorities. The realization makes an impact, and we start making better choices.
